The sacrificial anode will be consumed in place of the metal it is protecting, which is why it is referred to as a “sacrificial” anode.

At Associated Iron & Steel we can machine up an anode or many anodes, it all depends on what is required. This particular anode that we machined is made from Magnesium. This anode will be screwed into a water tank and will protect the insides from corrosion.
