Hello again everyone, 

this week we diversified! 

An important client of ours wished to have some 6.35mm diameter aluminium coils rolled.  The outside diameter of the coil was to be a small 100mm.  AI&S approached 3 different suppliers in the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions for quotes as we don’t roll or bend tube. One submitted a very expensive cost, one said “no sorry we can’t do it” and the third just said “yeah I’ll get onto your quote shortly” that was 3 weeks ago! So it seems as if they were just dropped into the too hard basket for these suppliers.  We have been around a long time now so we thought of a way to do it.  We machined the necessary tooling with our state of the art CNC’s, retrofitted a powered rotator to accommodate the dies and rolled our own aluminium coils to the exact correct size.
