Recently we were contacted by a client who had a drain issue. Initially they asked if we could come to site to inspect and measure up the grate they had covering a drain. The originally grate design design was causing issues with rubbish getting into the drain as well as blocking it up.
Our estimator went to site to measure up the grate and after consultation with the client came up with a better design to eliminate their problems. Having no drawings to work with and after measuring up the area concerned, he went back to the office, designed and drafted up a new design for the clients approval. The client approved the design and issued AI&S a PO to fabricate.
